  40.    by a 'G'.

  106.    file transfer protocol driver.  See the 'fnet.doc' file for the proper

  111.    want to 'customize' the screen.

  127.    A batch file which controls the external testing of uploaded files
  128.    immediately after an upload(s).  This file is called by 'fnchk.exe'.
  129.    This file MUST be located in EACH NODE directory.  If you do not want
  130.    to test uploads with another program (besides FNCHK.EXE) then you may
  131.    either omit this file are haev one line in it which says "EXIT".

  133. FNFILER.TXT
  134.    A text file with information on the 'fnfiler.exe' upload file directory
  135.    manager utility.

  137. FNREAD.ME
  138.    A text file with information on the updates to Feathernet BBS.  A MUST
  139.    reading for sysops upgrading to a newer release.

  142.    The source data file which 'fntext2.com' uses to create the 'fnettext'
  143.    file.  Edit this to you liking and run 'fntext2.com'.  Then place the
  144.    'fnettext' file in your bbs HOME directory.

  207.    system and all new users are screened prior to the sysop adding them to

  211.    The data file for the new PRIVATE upload function (sysop option). It is a
  212.    random access file of 93 byte Records.  The file format is in 'fnet.doc'.
  213.    Each node will have its own 'priv.dat' file and it will be in the NODE
  214.    directory.

  216. PRIVPACK.COM
  217.    Used to "pack" the private file transfer database (priv.dat).  Ensure
  218.    'privpack.com' is located in the dos path and execute it from each bbs NODE
  219.    directory to "pack" the database.

  221. PRIVUL.TMP
  222.    A "temporary" directory file created for a user in the NODE directory when
  223.    an authorized user enters the 'private' file transfer function.

  225. PROMP.BAT
  226.    This is a batch file which is 'shelled' to when the F9 key is pressed for
  227.    a 'Sysop Shell to Dos'.
  228.  
  229. PWRD
  230.    This is an ASCII file which controls the time users are allowed each day
  231.    on the bbs.  It also controls the K-Bytes allowed per day when the 'ratio'
  232.    file does not contain an entry for the users security level.

  234. RATIO
  235.   An ASCII text file which controls the users' file transfer ratios.  Ratios
  236.   may be controlled by bytes or number of files.

  239.    An ascii text file with instructions for upgrading to version 3.38 and

  301.    A run time module for some Feathernet utilities.

  303. CALLFIX.EXE
  304.    Corrects the 'caller.log' file to the correct record size for
  305.    Feathernet version 3.9.  If your caller.log file appears corrupted at any
  306.    time, run CALLFIX.EXE.  It will correct and display problems with the file.

  308. CNAME.EXE
  309.    A program which creates a 'pcboard.dat' and 'cnames' file which are needed
  310.    to run Prodoor.

  312. DCVT.EXE
  313.    A conversion utility needed when upgrading to version 3.38 or newer from
  314.    a version prior to 3.38.
  315.  
  316. DEFAULT.EXE
  317.    A conversion utility for converting the 'chat.def' file from version 3.7 (or
  318.    earlier) to version 3.8 (or later) format.

  320. FEXT.EXE
  321.    This modifies the 'fnextusr' file to support some changes in the way
  322.    Feathernet handles conference registration information.  Run this once
  323.    if you are upgrading from a version prior to version 3.9c.

  355.    A utility used by Feathernet to move uploaded files to the 'upload'
  356.    directory from the 'work' directory.

  358. PRIVPACK.COM
  359.    Used to "pack" the private file transfer database (priv.dat).  Ensure
  360.    'privpack.com' is located in the dos path and execute it from each bbs NODE
  361.    directory to "pack" the database.

  364.    RUN from the bbs HOME directory to "ADD" files to or "DELETE" files
  365.    from the private file transfer database.  Also interfaced with privpack
  366.    to pack (purge deleted entries) priv.dat.

  369.    A utility used to maintain the user information at the bottom of the
  370.    screen during file transfers.

  372. SIG39C.EXE
  373.    This modifies the 'sigdata' file with your assistance to define the
  374.    public and private  conferences.  New callers will be given access
  375.    to ALL public conferences in which the NEW USER security level is equal to
  376.    or greater than.  Run this once if upgrading from a version prior to
  377.    version 3.9c
  378.  
  379. SIGCVT.EXE
  380.    This program MUST be run from each node directory when upgrading to
  381.    version 3.9 from earlier versions.
  382.  
  383.    It modifies the 'sigdata' file by adding a ", 1" to the 2nd line of each
  384.    conference's entry in the file.  You will need to run fncfg.exe and edit
  385.    each conference configuration for which you do not want the first directory
  386.    control file used.
